Lenexa Karate Academy is the premiere karate school in the Kansas City Metropolitan area offering professional martial arts services and instruction to people of all ages! With over 39 years experience, 10th degree black belt, Hanshi Dan Kennedy leads the school with knowledgeable and skilled instruction along with a staff of highly talented black belt instructors. Classical Okinawan karate is the core martial art taught at Lenexa Karate Academy and we also offer Jujitsu and Kobujitsu (weapons) – all of which make for a well-rounded and fit martial artist. MOST IMPORTANTLY we emphasize techniques that work in the real world.

Martial Arts is not a team sport, the only person that you are competing with is “Yourself.” Students come to us from age five to sixty five. Some students are in shape, while others are over weight. Some come for self defense, fitness, and others for fun. Each person is treated as an equal, and is trained to the best of their own ability and potential. A student is never compared to anyone else. At the Lenexa Karate Academy our instructors are there to guide, instruct, and motivate you to be the best that you can be.
